In chosing someone for legal services it is always helpful to know something about them. This page is made for that purpose.
I was born in Methuen, Massachusetts to Maurice and Helen LaRiviere. My father was a Methuen Police Officer and then
an elected member of the Methuen Board of Assessors.
I have a sister, Leona who has lived her life in Methuen.
In 1973 I met the woman I would spend my life with. My father and my sister picked me up at the boston airport as I returned
from military duty at Fort Knox. My sister introduced me to her friend Christine who had come with them. In 1976 Christine
and I got married. I am a Roman Catholic and we consumated our vows before God.
We have had three children; Maura, Cathyrn and Thomas and I was very lucky to have them. We are very proud parents.
I have served the community in the elected offices of; Town Meeting Member, Charter Commissioner and Councillor. I also
served as the appointed city solicitor.
I have also served as President of three non-profit entities.
My interests are family, hiking, biking, boating, fishing and baseball. There was a time when I did these better than
my son but once he became a teenager those days of doing it better than him were over.
